He was an American sports executive who owned the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers team in Major League Baseball from 1950 to 1979. In 1958 he brought major league baseball to the West Coast, moving the Dodgers from Brooklyn to Los Angeles.
Ex-Dodger first baseman Chuck Connors star of the weekly series, who is pictures here with O'Malley, still believed in touching all bases. Connors decided that since his ex-boss allowed him to perform on the diamond, that it was only fair play the he returned the favor and let O'Malley ham it up for the camera.
