Hi everybody, I would like to introduce you to Matthew.
Matthew is 13 and is a big fan of "The Rifleman."
I love hearing from this younger generation and it makes me feel great when I get e-mails from them.
I would like to share Matthew's Story with you.
I originally met Matthew through an e-mail he had sent to Jeff, this was January 20, 2008.
Dear Jeff Connors,
Hi, my name is Matthew XXXXX and I am 13 years old and a
huge fan of the series "The Rifleman". I just seen some pictures
of you when you were younger on the set of the Rifleman.
That's so cool you got to work with your dad some on the set!
I was wondering what ever happened to the set of the
Rifleman? Is in a museum somewhere? Are you friends with
Johnny Crawford?
I have a Rifleman T-shirt, DVDS and a Johnny Crawford CD.
I want to add to my collection so, I have my mom go on
EBay everyday to see what's new.
I was wondering since you were on the show some and you
are Chuck Connors son if I could have your autograph?

I was very touched by Matthew's e-mail. I wrote him back telling him that Jeff did not have a puter, but I would see that Jeff got a copy of Matthew's e-mail. I also asked Matthew how he got started watching "The Rifleman?"

I am so excited to receive the email from you!!!
I got into watching "The Rifleman" because, my grandpa watches it. He said Matthew, you have to watch this show that I used to watch when I was your age. Its called "The Rifleman." He said your not going to believe how much you look like the boy Mark on the show. So, I turned it on and have been a huge fan ever since! The funny thing is now everyone in the family runs to the TV at Rifleman time.
I can't wait to talk to my grandpa today to tell him the good news!
I thought I would surprise Matthew with a couple of pictures of Jeff on the set with his Dad.
He received his pictures from me & wrote & told me how happy he was to get them and that his mother was going to frame them for him.
Not too long afterwards I received another e-mail from this very excited Cowboy.
Hi Cowgirl,
I can't believe it... I just can't believe it!! Jeff Connors called me! I didn't know what to say. I was so happy! He said he was at the post office and mailing me something!! I hope he knows how happy I am!! I was Star struck. Gosh Thanks for sending him my email. Gosh I just don't know what to say. He made me feel special. I am still shaking! Thanks.. If it wasn't for you this would of never happened. I will remember this forever!!

I sent the link to this page for Matthews & his mothers approval.....Hi Cowgirl, Yes, me and my mom love the page!! I got my pictures today! My mom took about 100 pictures of me opening it. And another cool thing is I got to call Jeff back and tell him that I got them. He talked to me and told me neat stories. And said I am his friend. My grandpa came over and looked at the pictures. He is just as happy as me!! Actually my whole family is!!
Thanks again for everything. I have never been so HAPPY!!!!
p.s. I told Jeff that my brothers name is Lucas.. he thought that was neat. Matthew
